We only pass on the details without passwords to the building control body in order to process your application and make contact with you during the processing of your application. At that time, the application becomes the property of the local authority and is covered by their data protection policy which you can review on their website. Third parties will only be involved where it is necessary to process your application, for example with the Fire authority. It is a requirement of the building control process to keep applications for 15 years from the date of submission/approval, and this is the standard amount of time we will retain them on Submitaplan/DataSpace. If you require removal of your personal data after submission you should contact the relevant local authority.
